Logging expenses and receipt photos
Log costs as they happen so your profit is real. Attach a photo of the receipt and it's kept with the expense.
Snap a receipt
- Tap the Expenses tab, then 📷 Snap a receipt.
- Take a photo of the receipt, or pick one you already took. It shows in the Add expense form.
- Check the Date, Category and Amount ($), and fill in anything that's missing.
- Pick the Truck it was for. For fuel, add the Gallons (fuel). Add the Vendor if you like.
- Tap Save expense.
Took a bad photo? Tap 📷 Retake, or Remove photo to save the expense without one.
Add an expense without a photo
Tap + Add expense and fill in the same boxes. You can add a photo later: tap Edit on the expense, then 📷 Snap or upload a receipt.
Pick a category
Tap a quick button for the common ones: Fuel, DEF, Repairs, Tires, Tolls, Parts, Meals and Scale tickets. Everything else is in the Category list, grouped into insurance, truck and equipment, fuel and road, taxes and permits, drivers and payroll, office and business, and other.
Pick a truck on every expense you can. Expenses only count toward a truck's profit when that truck is picked. Ones without a truck show as “Not tied to a truck”.
Bills that repeat
Set up insurance, truck payments, your ELD and phone plan once, and they're added to every month on their own.
- On the Expenses tab, tap + Add a monthly bill.
- Pick the Category, type the Amount ($) and choose how often it Repeats: every month, every 3 months, every 6 months or every year.
- Set the First payment date. If it ends, like a truck loan, set Stops after.
- Tap Save expense. It's listed under Bills that repeat.
Other income
Money that isn't from a job, like bank interest, a fuel tax refund or a rebate, goes in + Other income. It counts toward your profit.
