Log a load the way you get paid

Every job goes in one form on your phone. Pick how you're paid, by the hour, by the ton, by the load or by the mile, type the rate, and fill in what you hauled. Keep the truck, driver, broker, job site, material and ticket numbers with each load.

As you type, a box at the bottom of the form figures your pay, so you can check it before you save:

• By the ton: 132.4 tons × $7.50 a ton = $993.00
• By the hour: start 6:30, end 16:00, 30-minute unpaid break = 9 hours. 9 × $115 = $1,035.00
• By the load: 11 loads × $95 = $1,045.00

Hauling for the same customer again tomorrow? Copy to today starts a new job with the same broker, site, rate and fees, with the loads, tons and times cleared.

Minimum-hour guarantees, checked for you

Many jobs promise a minimum number of paid hours, even if the plant shuts down early. Type the minimum hours on the job and 10-4 Hauler checks it every time.

• On hourly jobs: worked 5.25 hours at $110 with an 8-hour minimum? You're paid 8 × $110 = $880.00, not $577.50.
• On per-ton and per-load jobs: add a guarantee rate. If 90 tons × $7.50 = $675.00, but 8 hours × $105 = $840.00, the guarantee is paid.

When a guarantee kicks in, the job gets a Guarantee paid tag in your list, so you can see at a glance which days it saved you.

Fuel surcharge and broker fees

Save each broker once with their usual fee, fuel surcharge and how many days they take to pay. Pick the broker on a job and those fill in for you. The surcharge is added to your pay and the broker fee comes out, so the number you see is what you actually make: $993.00 + 5% surcharge − 8% broker fee = $959.24.

See what each truck keeps, not just what it grosses

Log expenses and pick the truck they're for, and 10-4 Hauler adds it up:

• Profit by truck on the Fleet tab: jobs, revenue, driver pay, expenses and profit for each truck this month. A truck losing money shows in red.
• The dashboard: this month's revenue, profit after expenses, average revenue per hour worked, loads, tons and hours.
• Daily revenue: loads, tons, hours, revenue, expenses and profit for each working day.
• Kept from each $1: how many cents of every dollar you brought in were left as profit.

Know who owes you

Each job shows Due, Past due or Paid. The Brokers tab lists what each broker has paid you, what's unpaid and what's past their terms. When a check comes in, tap Mark paid. You can also turn jobs into a PDF invoice and email it from the app.

Built for small fleets

10-4 Hauler is made for owner-operators and small fleets, not dispatch offices. There's no dispatch board, no GPS tracking and nothing to install. It runs in the browser on your phone or computer. Save your trucks as dump trucks, tri-axles or quad-axles. With three or more trucks, each driver can get their own login to log their loads, and they only see their own jobs and pay. At tax time, download everything to Excel.
