Overdue invoice reminders
Chasing late payments takes time. Turn on reminders and 10-4 Hauler sends your broker or customer a short, polite email when an invoice is past due, with the invoice PDF attached. It's off until you turn it on.
Turn it on
- Tap the Invoices tab, then Invoice settings.
- Under Overdue reminders, tick Email my customers when an invoice is past due.
- Tap Save settings.
What happens
- A reminder goes out 1 day, 7 days and 14 days after the due date. That's 3 at most per invoice.
- It goes to the billing email on the invoice, with the invoice PDF attached.
- It comes from info@10-4hauler.com, but when your customer hits Reply, it goes to you (the email in Invoice settings).
- You get a hidden copy of every reminder, so you always know what was sent.
- Reminders go out in the morning, Eastern time.
Mark invoices paid when the money comes in. Reminders stop the moment an invoice is marked paid (or voided), so your customer never gets a reminder for a bill they already paid.
Which invoices get reminders
Only invoices that were sent (emailed from the app or marked sent), still have money owed, and have a billing email. Drafts never get reminders. An invoice that was already more than 20 days past due when you turned reminders on doesn't get one out of the blue.
Turn it off for one invoice
- On the Invoices tab, tap Edit or View on the invoice.
- Untick Send overdue reminders for this invoice. It saves right away.
The same spot shows Last reminder sent and how many have gone out (for example "2 of 3"). The Invoices list shows it too.
Turn it off for everything
Open Invoice settings, untick Email my customers when an invoice is past due, and tap Save settings. No more reminders go out.
